Growing up between pear and peach trees, with a garden of herbs and vegetables, I learned the profound impact the earth’s gifts could have on our health and well-being. My sisters and I spent hours in that garden, uncovering the healing power of plants—one of my fondest memories is watching my older sister create homemade haircare remedies. She would try new concoctions often, making tonics and hair oil blends and test them on us. Our hair had never been healthier.
